In a full day holiday workshop children aged 10 to 14 work on a collaborative project to write and illustrate a book based on a theme. Over the course of the day they explore the processes and techniques involved in working through initial ideas, roughs, and thumbnail sketches, before then creating their final illustrations. The work is then compiled into a finished 'published' book with each of our young illustrators receiving their own copy as a memento of their day spent together as budding author/ illustrators.

Holiday programs at Illustration House offer educational value in a fun and friendly environment.

We offer programs for children from 7 years of age over most of the Queensland school holidays. Children's workshops run for 2 hours, with the exception on the full-day Book Illustration program.

Illustration House also provides term based after school children's art classes aged 7 - 17yrs and advanced art classes for highly advanced students.
