In April 2005, with much excitement and anticipation, we started with tiled and concrete floors, frosted exterior windows, a glass wall that needed to be removed, and a vision as to how we wanted illustration House to look and feel.

The Launch |

On May 5th 2005 Councilor David Hinchliffe officially launched Illustration House
The launch was attended by over 100 guests who came together to celebrate the opening of the very first Illustrative art and literature centre for Queensland.
